Manager, Dispute Analysis and Investigations (1/97 to present)
Primary focus of practice is to provide litigation support services to
attorneys and their clients in all industry areas. The Hartford client base
dictates industry specialization in Health Care Fraud & Abuse and extensive
initiatives have been undertaken in the areas of Home Health Agencies,
Medicare and Medicaid Fraud & Abuse, Clinical Trials, and other provider
related inconsistencies and schemes. Exposed a 400 person Medicaid crime
ring singlehandedly. Other industry areas where extensive client services
were provided include international banking, nuclear power facilities, State
and Federal criminal matters, medical facility financing and factoring,
software development royalties, international money laundering and medical
journal publication. Developed and implemented new practice line with
industry focus on eminent domain condemnation consulting and valuation
services, with the objective of generating a multi-million dollar revenue
generating practice.

Responsible for managing audits of Fortune 500 manufacturing and high tech
companies. Supervised up to four teams and up to 25 auditors.

Primary focus of practice was to provide litigation support services to
attorneys and their clients in the areas of forensic accounting, fraud
examination, compliance with laws or rules, health care fraud, anti-trust,
business interruption, banking and finance, securities violations and
portfolio performance, ponzi schemes, insurance, family law, business
valuation, determination of ownership value, locating hidden assets, eminent
domain and condemnation, lost wages and business interruption. Testified as
an Expert Witness in Accounting Principles and Forensic Accounting in the
Circuit Court of Dade County, Miami, Florida. Testimony experience in all
forms of official proceedings of State and Federal Courts in excess of 100
times. Financial record analyses have resulted in expert opinions rendered
in cases involving financial losses, damages claimed, and validity of
assertions made by litigants in civil and criminal cases. Services have been
utilized to determine whether revenues or expenditures were handled in
accordance with laws, rules or policies; or to issue a report to the Court
on financial data that was in question between opposing counsel. Other
services provided to analyze financial data from affiliated environmental
companies suspected of over-billing government funded projects on clean-up
sites. Currently approved to provide services to the Internal Revenue
Service on a suspected ponzi scheme. Assisted attorneys and insurance
investigators in taking statements under oath for business and property
losses claimed. Services have also included trial and deposition preparation
with attorneys, witness coordination, case file management and trial exhibit
preparation.
